Is the evil something what you do or who you are?

At the front page of most daily news, you could see a variety of crimes on it. Due to the fact that People have numerous problems, their action are expressed in the different ways especially crime commitment which is a result of those problem. To understand those real problems, I would classify them by the reasons why people has been still committing crime. There are actually at least 4 root causes which lead them to do.

First of all, financial crime relates to people's assets. Burglary, robbery, shoplifting, kidnapping, smuggling, and drug dealing are composed in this type. Poverty, unaffordable status and even infinite demands all probably bring people find the way to get more money which seems to be easier than finding jobs or working hard. It spends time a bit but it can make money quickly. Not only they commit the crime because of poverty, but even some wealthy people could do either. Even if they are rich and have good backgrounds, a greed makes their demand never-ending. For example, The Ochoa brothers, although they came from an educated, upper-class background, they ran on the organization which was the logistic of smuggling Cocaine company and it made them more powerful.

Secondly, the political crime causes from politic decision.  The conflict of interest occurs when government determines policies. There is a disadvantageous side which want to revenge on the opponent. It brings hiring somebody to attack and kill an another side. Assassination is an obvious example. In addition, government operation could affect to some group of people such as minorities. They are treated differently and discriminated in the society. When they feel that their right were infringed, they would ask for more rights by bargaining with government. If the government overlooked their right, they would violent some areas extremely for pressuring the government to approve their request. That is called Terrorism. It's still happening currently in several areas over the world such as Abu sayyaf in the Philippines, they was Muslim groups which have been engaged insurgency for an independent province in the country. 

Thirdly, Military reason is Espionage used in a term of national defense for damaging the advantage of other nations. Especially the Cold war period, spying was intense activity between the U.S. allies and the Soviet allies involving with Nuclear weapon improvement.

Lastly, It is an emotion crime which is inspired by feeling such as sadness, fearness, jealousy, wrath, fondness, and passion. People need to control their temper to be stable, otherwise they are going to express through their severe actions to threaten others. They also specify victims who relate to criminals' emotion. This kind of crimes are rape, murder, arson, black-mail, vandalism, assault, hi-jacking and etc.

These are the reasons why this world is seemed more brutal. Because when we are all in the trouble, we are lack of consideration. In other words, we don't care each other and see an own desire as a great need. Or perhaps four types of crime are caused by just only one reason that is called human!

The first memory

It was the first time which I stood on the land which was totally difference from my home country. A flight had been flying all the day of August 18, I extremely hoped to have a beautiful moment at a destination where I was going. I had spent time for several months to get ready for moving to USA. Suddenly the flight had landed to O'Hare airport in Chicago, I saw a crowd of passengers had been waiting in a line which was longer than I could see. It seemed that beginning would not be a nice moment as I had thought.

Would the driver have gone? Was there anybody waiting for me? those question was running in my head. At that time, I was supposed to be in front of the airport but I still stuck in the line. I was thinking over about the car which would pick me up to my host family's house If it had gone, How should i do?

Two hours had been passing fast. I'd gotten through the crowd and I hurriedly carried my luggage and went out to the terminal. I was looking for any plate that my name written down. It was supposed to have anyone who was calling out my name but there all were others' names.

In the strange land surrounding with strangers, there was no one whom I ever known, a fright was happening to me. Luckily, my hand was carrying a paper written the phone number of Limousine agency but unfortunately, my phone had no service and any internet signal couldn't work. Although a panic spread through my head, I tried to regain my composure, walked around the airport looking for the public telephones and I eventually got it.

"Hello!" Somebody answered the phone, I tried to explain my situation which had just happened to me. Even if I spoke with a very poor English and I couldn't catch all what he responded, I could understand that no one had waited for me. So, I just hoped that anyone would be able to come back again.

If you used to believe that everything is going to be alright, it would be. It seemed that happy ending could possibly happen to me. The last sentence which I got from the line was I had to wait at the gate 4 so that he would get somebody pick me up. After the man had hung up, "Hurrrrrr" a long sigh sound was blew out from my mouth immediately. It was such a memorable experience exactly!

Fast food; Food grows fast

Once upon a time, raw fruits used to be a main dish for human survival. However, it has been becoming a few ingredients of dish for making delicious, tasty menu. As we can see currently, not only meat that we have ,we also have meatballs in pasta, not only grains that we have but we also have granular bars which build our energy as main dish. How do we have a various selection to eat food? These are many reasons which has been changing our diet as following.

First of all, Globalization which makes our world smaller, obtaining various kinds of food or even accessing to food resources also become easier through international relation. Faded boundary line persuades people to go abroad. International companies are investing in food industries all over the world. They are going with their culture which could be promulgated to another country as well. So it's no wonder that people in western part of the world are learning how to use chopstick to eat noodles while people in another part enjoy eating hamburger in McDonald's. 

Secondly, We get more nutrition information from education, research and media. We become interest in nutrition awareness since the studies show us many ways to improve our health with diet and also they indicate dangers of some food which we should avoid. James Oliver, host of the series Food Revolution, showed kids exactly what's in average chicken nugget. The process which was disgusting made children turn up their nose and said that they will never eat again. Moreover, we realize the more risk of serious illness because the number of people who died due to cancer, obesity and heart attack are increasing. Those information spreading quickly makes us know the fact and smarten to choose the best food for living longer. 

Thirdly, life style has changed since we want to make our life better and easier. Because of less leisure and hard working, most of us have a rush time to finish each meal and we are also tired of preparing to cook. Uncomplicated junk food and frozen pre-cooked meal which take a few minutes are chosen for meals. We just take plastic wrap out and put it into microwave 2 minutes ,or we can get into the lines or make a phone and order what we want to eat, then food's going to come for serving.

Last of all, technology has also been generating many choices for eating food. Innovative food products are produced to facing the different need of people. It makes us get more selection to choose food. For illustrate, we want to avoid getting fat from drinking milk. There are skim milk or 0%fat milk are ready for us. Even if we are allergic to rice, we can find some bread which are gluten free.

We are living in the modern world which has been growing fast and it has impacts on human diet.  No one knows what food in the future look like, we just have to realize how to adapt the way of life for survival in this world properly.

First step of my journey

Hello! I'm Rattasiree Phasasirawat. My name is such a long name so you can call me Rasta. I'm a girl who is away from my home country which is in the opposite side of U.S.A. It's called Thailand. Many international students in U.S.A come here for learning English and I do as well. Besides, I would like to improve myself not only an English skill, but also my mind. So, I decided to come to Chicago when I realized that I had no inspiration there after graduating in a Bachelor degree. I hope I will get some creative idea here about what I should do for my future.
